Dear Friends in Christ,

Jo Nissen, the widow of Spencer Nissen, has entered the larger life.  The requiem is scheduled to be held this coming Monday at 11:00 a.m. here at the church.  Interment follows at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Comfort Cemetery.  Everly-Wheatly is in charge of arrangements.  May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.  Amen.

Charlie and Molly Anning announced the birth of their daughter on 31 July.  Charlie writes:

We just wanted ya’all to know we’ve been blessed with a beautiful baby girl Elizabeth Patience Snow Anning. She’s tiny, healthy and both mother and newborn are doing well. We look forward to her first mass and introducing Ellie to everyone. God bless and our best wishes.

Very Respectfully,

Charlie, Molly & Ellie Anning

Congratulations to you both and welcome to our newest member, Ellie!

The class for the Altar Guild this coming Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the church is cancelled.  It will be rescheduled for a later date  We also welcome back altar guild veteran Millie Starek who has graciously volunteered to lend her considerable skills to the work pf the guild.

Our friend Dusty Rhodes fell a few days back and broke his arm.  Ginger Rhodes has health issues as well so please keep them both in your prayers.

We have a new Parish Secretary, Ms. Elfa Halloway. Elfa holds a Cambridge Certificate which she earned in England, as well as a Legal Assistant Certificate from Montgomery College in Maryland. She recently retired from Zuckerman, Spaeder LLC in Washington, DC where she worked as a legal secretary.

Our office hours are Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. drop in sometime and meet Elfa.

We also announce that our well beloved organist and her equally beloved husband, Karen and Mike Stamm, will be taking a much deserved sabbatical.  It is a well deserved rest.  Please keep Mike and Karen in your prayers as they plan for their future.

Also of your Charity please pray for Margaret Moses and her sister Julia Williams.  Julia is very ill and in hospital, Margaret has gone to take care of her and to help her transition to going home.

Additionally we pray for our many members who are traveling this Summer, some overseas, and ask that they be returned to us safely.

Finally we announce that the vestry has unanimously elected Ellen Campbell as our assistant treasurer.  Thank you Ellen for agreeing to serve.  And many thanks to Julia Taylor for training Ellen in her new post, and for all of her past service to this parish and its people.  Thank you Julia!

In Christ,
