Blessing of the Animals – Please spread the word about our Blessing of the Animals event to honor the Feast of St. Franics of Assisi from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 6. It will be held the same day as the annual Del Ray Art on the Avenue and we will have a petting zoo for the children, so it’s a wonderful way to introduce people to our church. All pets are welcome – just be sure they are leashed or caged. In addition to the blessings, there will be free St. Francis medals, neckerchiefs & pet treats, a bake sale to support our animal rescue friends and wonderful cats, dogs and kittens for adoption through Animal Allies and the Washington, D.C. Humane Society. Let’s make this year’s event a really special one!
