Dear Friends in Christ,

Jane Taylor sends the following reminder and info:

Parish Work Day is this Saturday and many hands are needed to spruce
up the church grounds.  Please come and help for as long as you can,
whether that be 30 minutes or several hours.  All efforts will be
greatly appreciated.  Also needed are gardening tools  –  shovels,
spades, trowels, clippers, loppers, pruning/garden scissors, brooms
and whatever else you can think of.  PLEASE put your name on the tools
you bring.  And don’t forget gloves!

There will be something to do for anyone willing to help.  Here is a
partial list of projects we’re hoping to get done (not necessarily in
order of importance – they are all important!)
1)  General Weeding
2)  Removing at least two bushes
3)  Transplanting and planting bushes and flowers
4)  Enlarging the circles around the trees in side yard  –  spreading
newspaper and mulch
5)  General pruning and trimming, especially around the Rectory
6)  Repotting several pots with summer flowers or bushes
7)  Expanding beds at the Dewitt side of building to the edge of the
8)  Spreading mulch
9)  Sweeping up after those who are doing any of the above, and
bagging clippings
10)  Edging where needed

Last, but not least, making sure there is coffee, tea, juice, cold
water and snacks always available inside and cleaning up inside

Working together is a great way to get to know your fellow A&M
parishioners, especially those who go to a different service than you
do.  Work Day will start at 9:30, but late comers definitely won’t be
turned away.

Call Jane Taylor (703-978-6037) with questions or suggestions.    See
you on Saturday!
