Salvation Army Food Bank: Collection is Sunday, 12/20. Cereal needed.

Poinsettias for Christmas Display: Please use the detailed form located on the Narthex table if you wish to give poinsettias for our display (in Memory of, or in Thanksgiving for). Please do so by Sunday, December 20th.

Mark your Calendars to help decorate the church for Christmas – Wednesday, December 23, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Besides the altar arrangements, we will need extra hands for the window and narthex decorations, and those around the crèche and within the altar rail. Greenery will also be needed for decorating. Trimmings from your evergreens can be brought on the Sunday before Christmas, December 20 – Advent IV – or any time thereafter, and left at the far end of the rectory’s carport.

Christmas Caroling will take place at St. A & St. M as we do each year on Saturday evening at 6 p.m., 19 December, gathering in the undercroft before we walk the streets of Del Ray. This is a family activity. We will have the Christmas song sheets. Of course, there will be Christmas cheer following our neighborhood caroling!

Dec. 9 Civil War Lecture: “The Historical Impact of Military Chaplains in Shaping the Ethical Climate.” The Rev. John Weatherly will explore the roles of armed forces chaplains before, during and after the Civil War, including the foundation of the Chaplain Corps. 7:30 p.m. in the undercroft.

The next Men’s Bible Study will be on Saturday, December 19 at 8:30 a.m. in the undercroft.
